The publisher of Simiolus, the Stichting Nederlandse Kunsthistorische Publicaties, has decided to create a support fund, the Simius Foundation, the aim of which is to stimulate art-historical research in the Netherlands and to publish it in Simiolus, thereby encouraging younger colleagues, while also ensuring the high scholarly standard and sound economic basis of this English-language periodical for years to come. For we think that without a good publication with an international distribution and readership, the value of research is very limited indeed.

The Dutch government’s fiscal policy encourages donations to scholarly institutions, which can be deducted from taxable income. Simiolus hopes to benefit from this favorable fiscal climate and the generosity of its readers. We therefore invite you to make a financial contribution to the Simiolus Foundation.
